FAQs

At VisitingRNs, we strive to provide compassionate, high-quality concierge nursing and IV hydration services across California. We bring care to you—whether you are at home, in a hotel, at a villa, in the office or enjoying a vacation rental. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive from clients.

1. What services does VisitingRNs offer?

We provide personalized concierge nursing care tailored to each client’s needs, delivered wherever you are—at home, in a hotel, at a villa, in your office or on vacation. Our services include post-operative care, chronic disease management, wellness check-ins, IV hydration therapy, medication management, wound care, and telehealth consultations. We also offer membership packages that provide ongoing access to our nursing team and priority scheduling.

2. Are your nurses licensed and insured?

Yes. All VisitingRNs nurses are registered nurses (RNs) licensed in the state of California. We ensure that our staff maintain current credentials and certifications. Our medical director oversees clinical operations, and we carry liability and malpractice insurance to protect both our clients and our team.

3. Is IV therapy safe?

IV hydration therapy is safe when administered by qualified healthcare professionals. Our nurses follow strict protocols for patient assessment, sterile technique, infusion monitoring, and emergency preparedness. We only use medical-grade equipment and supplies and adhere to all state regulations and clinical guidelines.

4. Do I need a prescription or physician order for IV therapy?

Because IV therapy involves administering fluids and nutrients directly into your bloodstream, it requires a physician’s order. We coordinate with our medical director or your own physician to ensure that each IV treatment is appropriate for your health status and goals. A brief health assessment will be completed before each infusion.

5. How does mobile IV therapy work?

Once your provider approves your treatment, our nurse will come to your location—whether home, hotel, villa, office or other—with all necessary equipment. We set up a clean workspace, monitor your vital signs, start the IV and remain with you throughout the infusion. Most sessions last 30–60 minutes. We remove the IV and clean up afterwards so you can continue resting wherever you are.

6. What are the costs?

Pricing depends on the type of service and complexity of care. IV hydration packages typically start at a flat fee per infusion, with additional cost for specialty formulas or extended visits. Our concierge nursing services can be billed hourly or through monthly membership plans. We discuss costs up front and provide a written quote before beginning care.

7. What areas do you serve?

VisitingRNs serves clients throughout the greater Los Angeles and Bay Area regions of California, including Redondo Beach, Torrance, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and surrounding neighborhoods. We bring our services to your doorstep—whether you’re at home, staying in a hotel, relaxing in a villa, working from your office or vacationing locally. If you’re outside these areas, please contact us; we may be able to accommodate travel on a case-by-case basis.

8. Do you accept insurance?

Currently, most of our services are private-pay. While some clients may use health savings accounts (HSAs) or flexible spending accounts (FSAs) to cover costs, IV therapy and concierge nursing services are not typically covered by medical insurance in California. We can provide a detailed invoice if you would like to submit a claim for potential reimbursement.

9. How do I schedule a consultation?

You can book a free consultation through our website, call us directly, or send an email. During the consultation, we’ll discuss your health needs, answer your questions, and determine which services are right for you. We then coordinate with our medical director to create a personalized care plan.

10. What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. For scheduled visits, we request at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Short-notice cancellations may be subject to a fee to compensate staff and hold times. Detailed cancellation terms will be provided in your service agreement.
